This Privacy Policy details important information regarding the use and disclosure of user information collected on the or the websites, and any successor website, (collectively the “Sites”), and other interactive properties, including but not limited to any mobile applications enabling you to access the Sites.

By accessing, using, registering with, or providing personal information to College Care Advocates, you explicitly accept, without limitation or qualification, (i) the collection, use, storage and transfer (including international transfer) of user information in the manner described in this Privacy Policy (as amended from time to time) and (ii) the College Care Advocates Terms of Use which are hereby incorporated by reference. This privacy policy affects your rights and liabilities under the law. By using the Sites, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, do not access or use the College Care Advocates Sites, or provide us with personal information.

Information We Collect

Personally Identifiable Information – If you register with College Care Advocates we will collect   personally identifiable information such as name, mailing address, telephone number or email address and any other information about you we consider relevant.  If you choose to give us personally identifiable information through the Sites, we will collect and retain that personally identifiable information.  We do not use your personally identifiable information or share it with others except as described in this Policy.

Financial Information -  To register via the Sites, you must provide financial information such as credit card number and type, billing address, and expiration date, in addition to personally identifiable information such as name, billing address, telephone number, and email. We require such financial information in order to process payment for the purchase of a Product or Service that you have requested. This information is provided to and collected by our third party payment processor.  Your financial information is used for billing purposes and to contact you if we have questions about your payment. By submitting your financial information, you consent to our providing it to Third Party Service Providers as necessary to support and process your transactions as well as your credit card issuer/banking institution for their purposes.

Non-Personal Information – When you use the Sites, we may also collect non-personal information, which we define as information that cannot be used by itself to identify you personally. We or our service providers may collect this information by automated means, using technologies such as cookies, Web server logs, and Web beacons.

Cookies – We may use "cookies" to store information and enhance your visits to the Sites. Cookies do not store personally identifiable information about you, unless you knowingly provide it. You generally can refuse and/or delete cookies.  See your Internet browser “Help” file for instructions. Please note that some of our Site functionalities (save a partially completed form and return later) utilize cookies and might not work for you if you refuse or delete cookies.

Information You Provide About a Third Party - Any information you provide (names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.) is used to facilitate communication and is not used for any other marketing purpose unless we obtain consent from that person or we explicitly say otherwise.

Disclosure of Information We Collect - Except as specifically set forth in this Policy, we do not share your personally identifiable information with any non-affiliated third party without your permission. 

When You Register for our Plan - in order to verify your identity and process your registration, we may share financial information and personally identifiable information you provide with third-party payment processors. Otherwise, we do not share your financial information with third parties.

Service Providers - We engage unaffiliated businesses to assist us in marketing and providing you certain services on the Site.  For example, we may use third parties to process credit card transactions and provide email services or online forms hosting services. We may use third party service providers to help us operate our business or administer activities on our behalf. We may share your personally identifiable information these third parties. This Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including but not limited to any third party websites, services and applications (“Third Party Services”) that you elect to access through the Sites or to individuals that we do not manage or employ.  While we attempt to enable access only to those Third Party Services that share our respect for your privacy, we cannot take responsibility for the content or privacy policies of those Third Party Services.  Please make sure to review the privacy policies of any Third Party Services you access.

Business Transactions Involving College Care Advocates – College Care Advocates may buy other entities or business assets, or sell all or part of our business or assets, or combine with other businesses.  If so, personally identifiable information as well as and non-personal information that we have collected may be transferred as part of the transaction.  We specifically reserve the right to transfer or share a copy of personally identifiable information collected from the Sites to the buyer or transferee of that portion of our business relating to that information.  Should such a transaction occur, we will use reasonable efforts to direct the buyer or transferee to use personally identifiable information you have provided to us in a manner that is consistent with this Policy.

Other Disclosures – We may,  without your consent , disclose personally identifiable information, any communications sent or received by you,  when we are required or requested to do so by law or legal process, court order or other government or law enforcement authority or regulatory agency; to enforce or apply our rights, agreements, and policies, including but not limited to this Policy and/or our Terms of Use; and when we believe in good faith that disclosing this information is necessary or advisable, including, for example, to protect the rights, property, or safety of College Care Advocates, our clients, users, or others, to prevent or investigate suspected fraud, violations of or activity that appears to us to be illegal or may expose us to legal liability. Additionally, we may disclose your information and/or communications in situations that we believe to be: (i) emergencies involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person or property if we believe that your information in any way relates to that threat.

Security - The security of your personally identifiable information is important to us. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to secure your personally identifiable information.  The Personal Information we collect may be stored by our third-party designees within databases that our third-party designees control. We cannot guarantee the security of our third-party designees' databases, or that information we share as permitted by this Policy will always be held secure by them. We can not guarantee that information you supply won't be intercepted while being transmitted to us or our third-party designees over the Internet. You do so at your own risk. In the event of a breach of the confidentiality or security of your personally identifiable information, we will notify you as required by law, if reasonably possible and as reasonably necessary so that you can take appropriate protective steps. We may notify you under such circumstances using the e-mail address we have on record for you or through alternative means. This Privacy Policy applies to your interactions with our Sites only.

Please allow 20 business days for the request to be processed.  After receiving a request to change or delete your information, we will make reasonable efforts to ensure that all of your personally identifiable information stored in databases we actively use to operate the Sites will be updated, corrected, changed or deactivated, as appropriate, as soon as reasonably practicable.  However, we reserve the right to retain in our archival files any information we remove from or change in our active website databases.  We may retain such information to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce our terms and conditions of use.  In addition, it is not technologically possible to remove each and every record of the information you have provided to us.

Links to Other Sites - The Sites may contain links to other websites maintained by third parties. Please be aware that College Care Advocates has no control over linked sites and is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such sites.  Please refer to the privacy policy of these other sites before you provide to them any personally identifiable information.  

International Users - If you are located anywhere outside of the United States, your connection may be through and to servers located in your country or the United States. Any personal information you provide may be processed and maintained in the United States on servers and/or other network systems operated by us or for our benefit. The data protection laws in the United States may differ from those of the country in which you are located, and your Personal Information may be subject to access requests from governments, courts, or law enforcement in the United States according to laws of the United States. You are also consenting to the application of United States federal law in all matters concerning the College Care Advocates Sites and this Privacy Policy. YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT YOU WILL NOT USE THE SITES WITH ANY EXPECTATION OF GREATER PRIVACY RIGHTS THAN THOSE TO WHICH YOU HAVE EXPRESSLY AGREED AS STATED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY.  

Changes to Policy - We may change this Privacy Policy at any time.  The most recent version of the Privacy Policy will always be posted on the College Care Advocates Website, with the "Effective Date" posted at the top of the Policy. Changes to the Policy will take effect as soon as they are posted as described above, except that, if we are going to use Personal Information in a manner materially different from the manner stated at the time we collected it, we will notify you by posting a notice on the Sites for 30 days.  

Disputes - If you choose to visit the College Care Advocates Sites, your visit and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use including limitations on damages, resolution of disputes, and application of the laws of the United States.

No Rights of Third Parties - This Privacy Policy does not create rights enforceable by third parties or require disclosure of any Personal Information relating to users of the College Care Advocates Sites
